Those wishing to volunteer, please call 417-625-3543. Those wishing to donate items, please call 417-625-3542. Thus far, approximately 5,000 volunteers have been on-site at MSSU (Missouri Southern State University) to register and 7,000 have called the United Way to offer their time. -

For those who have lost their ID or other important documents (certificates, deeds, licences) due to the disaster in Joplin – MU has put together useful chart to obtain duplicates of all your vital official documentation.

City Of Joplin Announcement About City Permits
City of Joplin announces effective immediately, permits are no longer required to come and go from the disaster area. -
US Postal Service Efforts to Help Joplin Residents.
The U.S. Postal Service announced today that customers in the Joplin area whose homes or businesses were damaged by Sunday’s storm can pick up their mail at the Joplin Main Post Office, located at 101 N Main Street. Customers are reminded to bring photo identification so that their mail can be released.Okay everyone, that’s what I’ve got for right now.
